WWTBAM Nigeria draws the curtain after 13 remarkable years of Intellectual Entertainment

Undoubtedly the most successful, rewarding and educative game shows in Nigeria, the MTN sponsored “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”, anchored by Frank Edoho, will be going off air after the completion of its 13th Season running and engaging the Nigerian audience. However, it has promised this is only a temporal break.

The popular TV Game Show has brought smiles to millions of Nigeria with surprise editions and appearances over the years. Notable Nollywood, Nigerian Music Stars, Classic Entertainment Icons, Celebrated Heroes of Days Past among many others have taken to the hot seat to stand a chance to win big. There have been over 500 hot seat contestants and over 1,000 Fastest Finger First stage contestants who didn’t make it to the hot seat.

Still interested in winning more cash, download the mobile app from Google Playstore or the MTN App Store and stand a chance of cashing in on great offers and keeping in touch with the excitement the game comes with

The online game was introduced in 2008. Although there are no more cash prizes to be won, the game allows you to enjoy the hot seat experience from the comfort of your PC, as well as giving you a chance to get an express entry as a contestant for the show without having to dial 132.

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” is an international television game show franchise of British origin, created in 1998 by David Briggs, Mike Whitehill, and Steven Knight. In its format, currently owned and licensed by Sony Pictures Television, large cash prizes are offered for correctly answering a series of multiple-choice questions of increasing (or, in some cases, random) difficulty.

Apart from the hot seat being the major attraction, there are other exciting platforms for various cash prizes or just for fun: Millionaire Home Quiz formerly Home Play, where 15 people win N20,000 weekly, 1 person wins N200,000 weekly and 1 person bags N1 million for the month. Worthy of mention is the audience play where 20 people from the studio audience win N20,000 each.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Nigeria is hosted by Frank Edoho, Sponsored by MTN Nigeria and Produced By Ultima Limited.

The maximum cash prize (in the Nigerian Version) is N10 Million.
